The Witches
We just finished reading The Witches by Roald Dahl. Your assignment is to write a new ending to the story or add onto the original ending. Requirements are - must be at least 4 paragraphs, have an official ending, and a conclusion. Remember to have fun and be creative with this assignment!

Once the narrator and Grandmamma got back to Norway they went around and gathered the ingredients to make the Special Formula to turn the witches into mice. Then they made the formula in a gallon bucket then put it into small containers so they could carry it easily. One bottle of the formula contained 500 doses. One bottle of the formula would turn all the witches into mice.
Next grandmamma took the narrator around town to look for stray cats to lock them in the castle. They found 7 cats total. They found 3 girls and 4 boys. The boys were starving so they rushed to go to the castle.
Once they were at the castle Grandmamma set the narrator beside a crack and to him told be careful. He wrapped his tail around the bottle then hurried to put it inside the food.
When he was in the kitchen the food had already been prepared. He ran over and dumped out the contents of the bottle. Then he ran through the same crack and told grandmamma what he had done.
Soon Grandmamma peeked through the crack and saw that there were a bunch of mice. Then grandmamma said it was time to release the cats. She hurried to the car with the narrator in her pocket. She grabbed some of the cats then put them in the castle and went back to grab the rest.
Finally they got the cats in the castle. They waited 30 minutes then looked through the crack. They saw that there were no more mice in sight. So they grabbed all the cats then took them back to the neighborhood then gave them to certain families.

When the grandma and the narrator woke up they were planning their trip to the grand high witch’s castle. They went and got the recipe for formula 86 delayed action mouse maker. Then they bought airplane tickets and were getting a taxi to go to the airport. On the way there they were discussing the plan for destroying the rest of the witches.
Now that they’re there they found a hotel without witches. Now they’re looking for half a dozen cats to make their plan succeed. They’re looking around the small village. Now that they got the cats they are figuring out the route.
They’re on their way to the castle with the cats. The narrator has the potion and getting ready for the mission. They’re driving up the long drive way now. His grandma opened the door so he could get through. Grandma creaked open the huge wooden door, so he snuck through.
He’s in the witches’ castle now and he’s terrified that something bad could happen. The mouse found his way to the kitchen. He saw the cook making soup so he climbed up the shelf and waited for the perfect time. He dumped the bottle in and then ran back to grandma. Then they threw the cats through the door.
They hope they succeeded and got rid of the witches. They haven’t seen a witch to this day.

“Grandmamma, who appoints The Grand High Witch after one dies?” I said while we were lying in bed the night before we made the potion. She answered “The Grand High Witch’s secretary does my darling.” “But what if the secretary died or quit?””Well if she quits and becomes a good witch all of the witches of the world will gradually disappear. The same if she dies.”And then we went to sleep.
The next morning we started making the formula. It went marvelously. So then we were ready to go to the castle. We went in a bush plane. We landed about five miles out of the village. We rode into the village in a jeep and, found an inn. We stayed the night at the inn.
In the early morning about 4:30 my grandmamma took me to the castle up on the hill .When I went in the castle I saw the new Grand High Witch and, then I hid behind a rock. I looked around the rock for a second and saw her coming closer with a cat. She walked past and I could finally breathe.
On the top of the castle I saw two chimneys. I climbed up to the chimney closest to me and looked at it. Engraved in it was “Kitchen chimney”. It wasn’t smoking so I jumped in it. I found witch waiters and cook buzzing around with food and hid in a sack of potatoes. One witch said waiter “The majesty’s breakfast is ready?” “Yes” replied a cook. I jumped up over the plate and dumped the formula on the plate. I got back out the same way I got in, nails in the chimney. I ran back to the inn and said “I did it. They’re going to die”.
We flew back to Norway and lived for the rest of our lives. We died together, happily.

The day finally came to gather supplies. The narrator and his Grandmamma finally hailed a taxi. “Grandmamma are you sure we should do this?”Said the narrator. “Sure we should!”Said Grandmamma Soon the taxi stopped at a Joey’s pet store. They went inside and bought 60 cats.
Then they went outside to hail another taxi. Inside the taxi they had to plan the rest of the task. The cats were so annoying the whole ride. They soon got home to set the cats down. The taxi driver was honking so loud because there was no pay.
Soon they found everything that was needed. “Now that was a synch.”Said grandmamma. They hurried to make the Mouse Maker. Then rush to hail the new cab. The cab was so, so slow.
The castle was a dark red color. It had vines, thorn tree and is black cats all over. “This is the place.” said grandmamma scarcely. “This really is, are you sure grandmamma?”Said the narrator.” Time to go in.” Said grandmamma willingly.
As grandmamma let the narrator go into the castle, he turned and said begging” Please don’t let me do this!” Oh you big cry baby get in there.” As he walked in to the kitchen he saw a witch coming so he hid in the corner. While she walked by, then he scurried into the kitchen and pour the potion into their food, then hustled back out. “Grandmamma I did it.” So grandmamma went and looked in the window of the hind quarters. She saw the Grand High Witch and others eating the, soup then in a split 26 seconds the witches were mice. So then they let all the cats loose in the castle.
Then at the end of the mess they cleaned it up. Then they lived in the castle until death.

On Friday they were packing to head to the castle. They had all their ideas wrote down to get rid of the witches. They were going to take a taxi to the castle. They brought William and Mary along with them because he had trained them to fight other mice.
Once they arrived at the Grand High Witches castle they looked for a place to put their supplies and a place to sleep. On the way up they met the Grand High Witches husband, Jack. He grabbed them and threw them into a room and locked them in there.
Jack went back down stairs and saw that all the witches were there. He asked for his wife, the Grand High Witch. The witches said “we do not know where she is.” Jack said “I am going to try to find her.”
Jack went out looking for her and searched everywhere and never found her. He went back to the witches and told them he did not find her. When he came in the castle he heard the narrator and grandmamma trying to get out. Jack just annoyed them and did not worry about them.
Finally they got out of the locked room and they went downstairs. The witches were having a meeting about how they were going to find the Grand High Witch. They never had an idea so they never found the Grand High Witch. She never came back to the castle either.
